Apple is a computer company that builds their own software. Microsoft is a software company, pure and simple.
The only software MS has actually released for MacOS X is Internet Explorer and MS Office.
None of this is an issue of openness. MS finds a market in the Mac that can be profitably exploited and vice versa. It’s all about making money.
3 programs HA! U can get ever windows program if you install bootcamp because microsoft let apple install windows on their computers either way they are still getting more money.
Windows media player,WMM,I.E,microsft word,Powerpoint etc.. apple doesn’t let windows users have ilife,cut time pro, they don’t even let their OS run on PC!
@ spungii117: QuickTime, iTunes & Safari are all available on Windows.
thats cool microsoft was nice enough to give seadragon to apple. I wish apple was that nice with their programs.

Every “Innovative” technology from Apple has been done before, almost always by the Open Source community.
